What is the relationship between Tibetan and Chinese medicine?
Tibetan medicine developed by synthesizing knowledge from Chinese, Indian Persian and Greek medical systems. Combining the best aspects of these traditional systems, the Tibetans created a working synthesis beginning in the fourth century. By the eighth century the Tibetan government began sponsoring conferences with practitioners of all existent systems of the time. By late in the 11th century the knowledge had been codified into a complete medical system in line with Buddhist principles.
Where are your products made?
Our products are manufactured at a well-respected Tibetan herbal pharmacy in Kathmandu, Nepal by a Tibetan doctor with more than 25 years experience making these formulas.
Are the supplements safe to take when pregnant or nursing?
Of course the final arbiter of whether any supplement is safe while pregnant or nursing should be your doctor, we do not recommend taking our products while pregnant or nursing.
Should I reduce the dosage when taking both Agar 35 and Semde?
Usually the dosage is the same whether you are taking just Agar 35 or Semde, or taking both in a combined program.
Are these herbs safe for children?
Always ask your pediatrician whether herbal supplements are safe for your children.
Can I take the herbs with food?
While some herbal preparations are better taken with food, these supplements are absorbed by the system more effectively if they are taken on an empty stomach.
What is the best time to take the supplements?
Semde is usually taken first thing in the morning, upon waking, with a glass of warm or hot water. However, it is acceptable to take it any time during the day, although it is most effective if the stomach is mostly empty. Agar 35 is often taken before bedtime, at least an hour after eating, again with a glass of hot or warm water.
I am currently on medication, are your products safe to take?
It is best to ask your physician about possible drug interactions between our supplements and your current medication before combining them. While our herbs are very mild and safe, your doctor will know more.
