Of the various types of Chulen made and used in Tibetan Buddhist practice, Metok, or Flower Essence Chulen are the most famous. Metok Chulen are made from fresh, preferably high-altitude flowers in full bloom. The best are collected from beautiful, sacred places, far from human habitation, and combined with herbs and holy relics to form a spiritual tonic renowned throughout the Himalayan world. It was thoughts like this that moved us to collect more than 30 types of healthy, beautiful flowers growing in the high mountain meadows surrounding the peaks of the Dolomites in Northern Italy during the summer of 2017.

We were on our way to a special cave high in the mountains when the sight of hundreds of acres of wildflowers inspired this project. With the help of a local expert, we were even able to identify several flowers which also grow in Tibet, making this formula even more magical. It certainly felt as if the dakinis of the Dolomites played a special role that day in bringing this idea into reality.

Having collected, sorted, and cleaned the flowers, we dried them thoroughly and packed them away for our return trip to Colorado. Further cleaning, grinding, and, in a few cases, processing ensued, and the final 'flower flour' was ritually combined with a special Chulen mixture acquired in Bhutan, where it is made by an herbalist whose formulae are used by some of the most famous yogins and hermits in that fabled land.

To this we have added a small amount of relics acquired from around the Buddhist world and ground into an extremely fine powder. The relics include about 60 different items, including many types of ringsel, terma articles, and special relics from past Buddhist masters. It is this enlightened essence which gives these particular Chulen a special potency.

The resultant mixture has been encapsulated and bottled and is ready to be used by you, the yogins and yoginis of the West. Our aspirations are that this remarkable preparation may speed all those who encounter it on the path to insight and peace.

Each bottle contains 60 capsules.

Directions: Take 1 -2 capsules early in the morning with warm water. To refrain from eating for at least 30 minutes increases the efficacy of the formula. Meditation, centering prayer, calm abiding and yogic practices are also encouraged. As with all types of herbal formula, if you have any health conditions please check with your doctor before using.
